What’s new with the Response App?

Dive in to see whats new

We’re sure you’ve noticed by now that our team’s commitment to constantly improving and upgrading our app is unparalleled. When dealing with an emergency of any scale, we know how important it is to have your ERP and company documents at the tip of your fingers, no matter what.

With that in mind, at the beginning of July, a new version of the response mobile application went live! To continue to enable uninterrupted use of our app in critical moments, we have been working on the back end to update the response app to run on capacitor.

What is a capacitor and what does it do?

Capacitor is a framework that enables our team to build cross-platform apps with web technology that runs more efficiently. That means we updated our entire mobile framework to run on capacitor, which among many things now allows  us to enable foreground notifications for users.

What is a foreground notification?

A foreground notification is a pop-up notification that shows when you are actively using the application. In our previous versions of the app, users would only get notified of chat messages when the app was closed.

Fast forward to now, post capacitor development, our users will now always get notified when they are in cell service. If a new message is sent when you are out of service, you will get notified as soon as you regain service; whether or not you are actively using the application.

Worried that your message didn’t go through?

Along with foreground notifications, we added a notification when you send a message.

You will know that your message went through because you will also get a popup notification of your own message. This means you will always be able to keep-up with every communication.

Has your team updated their applications? We highly recommend you do so!
